Check out the creative ideas from these businesses:
Alise’s Bag Boutique
Run by Alise Holewiak from Somerset. I am 13 years old and I enjoy sewing. I have been taking lessons for 2 years. I make cute fashion bags, tote bags, sling bags and Nook/Kindle cases. I make fashion head bands and clutch bags from recycled men’s ties. I know is seems old-fashion, but sewing is my passion. I also make decorative patch work pillows. I have also made baby’s first stockings for family members. Cloth bags are fun and help save the planet from all that plastic!
Run by Gianna & Charleigh Blackwell from Rehoboth. We take medium strength, recycled (or new) wire hangers and create personally designed “closet color” for babies, children, teens and even adults! It looks cool having pretty hangers! We use a combination of plastic pony beads, letters, numbers, wire, vintage & décor buttons, etc. They are durable and functional enough to hang most shirts and dresses, as they can bend back into shape if slightly weighed down. Sometimes there are color patterns, special themes, or random colors…Boys and Girls styles! They can be given individually, as well as in sets of hangers. We make them for Christmas, Birthdays, Baby Showers, Raffles, For the Bride, Newborns, Thank You’s (for teachers, friends, neighbors) etc. It is a unique handmade gift. It’s fun to do together, too! Check out our Facebook page for more photos!
Run by Devin Matteson from East Taunton. Selling a variety of toys and gifts, even for moms. Large selection of grab bags! Sale specials on “jumping frogs”. Cool kid planning to donate a portion of my sales to BOSTON ONE for the people hurt in the bombing. Looking forward to helping others, meeting new kids & learning about business.
Hula for Hope’s Caring Kids
Run by Autumn & Amelia Rayray and Emily & Julia Canuel from Somerset. Our American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life team is named Hula for Hope. We have a wonderful group of children who last year have made a banner, did lemonade stands, made and sold jewelry, and even sold many of their own toys at yard sales last year to raise money for cancer research. This year we sold tropical floral hair accessories and earrings at our relay for life event on June 21st. Fundraising for the ACS continues throughout the summer. We all have many years of experience selling Girl Scout cookies. Every year wehelp set up cookie booths at local stores, address potential customers, restock tables, count money, and give back change. Our group effort is to sell tropical hair accessories and earrings with all proceeds going to this cause. We are from 10 to 14 years old.
Run by Amalia & Clover Pereira from Somerset. Hand-made accessories and jewelry, by today’s tween girls, for today’s tween girls! Our special products are creative, lively and beautiful. Just like the two 10-year-old girls who carefully craft them!
Run by Scarlette & Jayden Leonard from Middleboro. Nothing is better for our skin than natural products! The skin and fur of dogs should be treated the same way! Using natural ingredients, including rosemary, lavender, tea tree oil, oatmeal, peppermint and cedar wood, we create several different types of soaps and shampoos for your favorite four legged friend! Soaps that will repel ticks and fleas, ease your pooches itchy skin, make her coat shiny and soft, or just smell great are all available and are all hand made by dog lovers!
Run by Olivia Park from Bristol. Razzle -Dazzle is owned and operated by a 9 year old self-made entrepreneur and offers custom-made beaded bangles and one of a kind headbands and bows that can be purchased alone or as a matching set that includes a beaded bangle. These items are the perfect accessory for the fashion conscious young girl. In addition to these accessories, Olivia will be selling hand painted glamour shells to compliment your beach decor or to hang on your Christmas tree…..a little bit of bling really makes a statement!
Rock Roll Recycle
Run by Sharlett Blake from Swansea. My idea is to make products out of recycled materials. Some items are scarves from old t-shirts, candle holders from cans, newspaper flowers, wind chimes from discarded items. We will even have a do it yourself Station.

Run by Samantha Gagnon from Dighton. Sammy likes to make origami paper cranes and will set up a table and ask for donations for her cause: Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. which provides bullet/stab protective vests for police K9′s. She is 13 years old and has vested four K9′s to date, three for Fall River Police and one for American Mantrailing.
